Hello,

recently I switched from Gnucash to Ledger and converted my *.gnucash file
with the pygnucash utility which created lots of command directives like:

commodity HRK
        note Croatian Kuna

...
account Expenses:Food
        note Food

...

P 2011/12/31 23:00:00 EUR 7.6 HRK
...

Now I'd like to archive my ledger file by separating each previous year in
separate file like finances_yyyy.ledger.

The procedure to do it is explained in 4.9 Archiving Previous Years section
of the manual
(http://www.ledger-cli.org/3.0/doc/ledger3.html#Archiving-Previous-Years)

but the problem is that 'print' command cuts out those directives from ledger
file(s), so I wonder what is the correct procedure for archiving previous
years *and* keeping those directives assuming they're required in order that
Ledger would be able to properly process my data?

Sincerely,
Gour
