I do somewhat regular currency transactions so I do have a method but it isn't a general all of the file method. Rather each transaction (in a foreign currency) is changed into my 'home' currency. That's for every part of the transaction (and its a RPITA when I have 6 different categories of items in that transaction.) I'm doing these changes using my onscreen calculator. Wish there were a good addin that I could use to do this for me. Have been thinking of rolling something in awk to do this and also for my cost accounting stuff. AIUI keeping your books is to be done in ONE currency even if you deal with others. The others are related back to the primary one - - - that's what the tax boys seem to want!
