Suppose, we have the following ledger file:

Equity:Opening Balances

Expenses:Materials $200
Assets:Bank account

Expenses:Salary $300
Assets:Bank account

Assets:Bank account $600
Income
Can ledger calculate the profit earned by formula: -Income - Sum(Expenses)?
So, it will be: Profit = -(-600) - 500 = 600 - 500 = 100
Or can ledger give me a balance report in xml or other machine readable
format, so I could write a program that will do the calculation?
