    * Assets:XXXXXXXXXX:Checking

Using this command:
ledger reg --cleared --effective

I would expect it to show a $338 debit from my checking account, but it
shows -$2,028.

Without marking the Checking line as cleared (*), the checking debits don't
show up at all in the cleared report.

Can this be achieved? Should it be achieved? I essentially want to track
planned future expenses in one place for simplicity, and mark them as
cleared as they happen.
