I'm not entirely sure why, but Ledger doesn't like the absence of spaces
around the '-' sign. This does work:
((110 - 60)*0.5)
Btw, you see what Ledger is thinking using:
ledger expr "((110-60)*0.5)"
This seems like a parsing bug to me.
