Chris What would it take to get a new beta, or should we call it alpha, release out the door very very soon?
Since we know it won't work well, don't even bother the users with it, just make it a developer thing (post here, that is), and maybe announce it on the website. It least that would give us a "this is the most stable code we have, try it and see where it breaks" release. We already know it will have major problems. So commit the latest patches, fixes, tweaks, etc., and push it out the door, even as an alpha of a beta. It provides a stable starting point, particularly for anyone who hates non-git repositories.
