Over the past months I've been gradually working to start a book project
for LedgerSMB. Today I'm proud to announce the start of the project.

The project aims to create a book for LedgerSMB, starting LedgerSMB 1.3,
which addresses three needs that I recognize in the community.

First, there will be a gentle introduction helping people to get started
with LedgerSMB in their company. This part will use an example company to
illustrate the configuration and processes normally encountered in day to
day business operations.

Second, there will be an in-depth description of the workflows for which
LedgerSMB has been designed.

And third, there will be an in-depth description of the administration and
configuration options available with explanations about their effects on
application operation.

The book is hosted at http://book.ledgersmb.org/. Its repository and issue
tracking are hosted on Google Code (http://code.google.com/p/ledgersmb-book/).
The book is distributed under the Creative Commons BY 3.0 license (
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/).

Contributions (review, texts, translations) are very much welcome!

Bye,

Erik.
