Sure. It's also standard in 1.4
The budgetting add-on allows you to define a budget for your whole
organization or a subset (department, project, or project/department
combination). This is just a list of target accounts and target numbers.
This is not enforced currently but maybe in the future....
So you can essentially record what your target spending or income is, etc.
Then later you can run a variance report. The report basically looks at
the period specified and gives you a list of budgetted amounts, actual
amounts, and the difference.
