There are some fundamental issues at the moment with upgrading from SL 2.8. You can either wait for LSMB 1.3 which will make this more feasible, you can work through the database changes on your own, or you can hire someone to help you with it. Of course people on this list or the -devel list may have some ideas and scripts, but you should be aware that handling of addresses may or may not be an issue depending on how you have this set up.
