I still think that isn't what it should do, but selecting the invoices 
again, and manually entering identical positive and negative amounts on 
them respectively, did the trick.  Actually, I also entered 0.00 in the 
master amount field, but not sure if that was necessary, and it probably 
cleared on post as it did when updating, not that it matters.
