Hi Lourens, There is some documentation in the tarball regarding upgrading from SQL-Ledger and also from older version of LedgerSMB. If you download and unpack the current tarball you should find a file called UPGRADE at the top level which contains reasonably detailed instructions for how to go through the upgrade process. Hopefully this is what you were after.
There used to be a dedicated mailling list for this but, as you say, it seems to have disappeared entirely. Perhaps someone else on this list knows more about that.
