As a followup, I moved the ledgersmb-https.conf file to /etc/apache2, and added
the following loine to the "httpd.conf" file that resides there:

Include /etc/apache2/ledgersmb-httpd.conf

No change in the error. Of course; 'sudo /etc/initid/apache2 restart' after the
movement and editing of the file
