I have been doing some more experimenting and decided to see what the ./tools/prepare-company-database.sh script would do for me.
I got a stack of errors when I ran it, as follows: # ./tools/prepare-company-database.sh --company testinc # --pgsql-contrib /usr/share/pgsql/contrib psql: FATAL: Ident authentication failed for user "postgres" ERROR: role "ledgersmb" already exists psql: FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "::1", user "ledgersmb", database "testinc", SSL off (This line repeated several times) ./tools/prepare-company-database.sh: line 246: /usr/share/ledgersmb/tools/generate-language-table-contents.pl: Permission denied psql: FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "::1", user "ledgersmb", database "testinc", SSL off psql: FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "::1", user "ledgersmb", database "testinc", SSL off Afterward, attempting to log in from either localhost/ledgersmb/setup.pl or localhost/ledgersmb/login.pl still brings me to the Firefox "Authentication Required" window, but any combination of username and password that I try are rejected. Nothing has obviously changed from what I reported in my email yesterday. -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Real D 3D Digital Cinema ~ www.melvilletheatre.com www.creekfm.com - FIFTY THOUSAND WATTS of POW WOW POWER! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For Developers, A Lot Can Happen In A Second.
