Hi,
You can create as many warehouses as you want, including the special one,
called in_transit.
When you receive goods, you can choose the warehouse (like in_transit) where to
receive the goods. When they really arrive to your (let's say) Central
warehouse, you can transfer the goods from in_transit to central warehouse.
While it make sense somehow, I am not sure, it is always bullet-proof concept,
but can work in some cases, depends on your own workflows and your benefits to
track like this.
