In the invoice screen, when I select the target to print to "Screen", I have
the target "PDF" available when I have pdflatex installed. That's how I've been
printing and mailing my PDFs from 1.3 and 1.4 since day one.
Don't you have this option available? Under "attachment" in the e-mail
"dialog", I have the same options available as under "Screen" in the invoice
screen. Don't you?

Assuming you have PDF tools installed of your linux distro you can
print to PDF file in this way
In LSMB 1.2 it used to print something like <voice number>.pdf in a
directory on the server where apache ran. Unfortunately since 1.3 it
prints just filename _stdin_.pdf and I have not been able to figure
out how to make it print the voice number or some random string. Still
if that is not important to you then this is a way to generate PDF and
print to file.
