1) search for the open transaction 1285,
2) enter the amount in the payment section to make the invoice balance
3) [Update]
4) [Post]
get a "Draft Posted" message
repeat 1-4 for open transaction 1285-VOID
Is this the process I need to use?
The issue is that we don't really know whether you want to reverse the payment
or not. If you do, you can also go through the
Cash/Vouchers/Reverse Payments interface.

seems to me like the [VOID] button processing missed something.
