Possibly, but it doesn’t work at all when I uninstall chrome.

Tried what people have said this morning but no use, chrome even tells me its
not the default browser briefly before failing to load the page. Its as if
chrome cant access the internet

Is chrome stealing back the default every time you run it?

Look for the setting in IE to make it your default browser. Otherwise, locate
an .html file, right click & say 'open with', select IE and check the use as
default option at the bottom and hopefully that shoukd fix it.

Just bought a new laptop

I have windows 7 and am using MS outlook 2010. When I click on a link in an
email it takes me directly to Google chrome and says the page cannot be
found.

If I cut the page link and open it in IE 8 it loads perfectly.

I've tried everything to change the default for opening a link in an email
to IE8 but it doesn't seem to work.

I have even uninstalled Google chrome but it just gives me an error when I
click on the link. I ten reinstalled it and the same problem happens again

Its driving me mad.

Any advice gratefully received
