and disappointment is not away yet
I find it hard to disagree with other post-match postings to this lovely list, not much to add, really. Nice to have the game on BBC1, meaning I had perfect conditions to watch the game in my own living room. The atmosphere was high all way. Am I the only one thinking we had some decent possession and play first half? It might be my glasses of course, but I sort of was feeling that their goals was coming against the run of play. Over 90 minutes though, they deserved the win It is not pre-season any more, the race for real points into the account is on. This race is harder in division 2 (championship) than division 3 (league 1), with more speed etc. We can make fewer mistakes, because we will pay the penalty when we do. As loosing the ball in the midfield. Only goally Schmeichel stood between us and a really demoralizing 1-5 (or something), but then again, the keeper is also part of the team, and its not the first time in history a goalkeeper influence on the result. Grayson really has a lot to work on this coming week. I missed Snodgrass a lot, feeling not happy that this guy in Bergen tried to kill him in a friendly(!). On the other hand, our squad on this level should be good enough to play football without all players available, as injuries and suspensions will follow throughout the season. I also missed Beckford, and cant believe that a replacement was not on the shopping list this summer. Most of all I missed solid defending at the back, and some creativity up front. And a midfield connecting those two. Ups Anyway, good to have the season going, good to not be in division 3, good to be on telly, good to watch the new white kit, good to celebrate a goal and good to look forward to next game. We need to beat back, poor Forest Øystein _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman-new.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] MARCHING ON TOGETHER
