Leeds United are monitoring former West Ham defender Calum Davenport.
The 27-year-old is understood to be interesting Leeds boss Simon Grayson and could feature in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Thorp Arch on Tuesday.

Davenport is out of contract and seeking a fresh start after leaving Upton Park amid problems in his personal life.

He did not play at all last season having suffered serious leg wounds in a stabbing incident and was subsequently involved in a high-profile court case after being charged with assaulting his pregnant sister.

He was cleared of all charges.

Davenport and West Ham agreed to cancel his contract in March and he is yet to find another club. He spent time training with Nottingham Forest earlier this month.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Coventry City player – capped by England at Under-21 level – has more than 150 professional appearances to his name and cost West Ham £3m in 2007.

Leeds have also been linked with former Aston Villa and Manchester City forward Darius Vassell who is a free agent after returning to England from a spell with Turkish club Ankaragucu.
