I know SG has said that Grella ,Robinson and maybe some other players, as yet
unmentioned may be going out on loan but even so we seem to have too many
players -if you can do such a thing. It is going to become harder and harder to
pick the team.
Ok for the starting line up for Swansea it will easy to keep the same winning
line up as Millwall and Watford but is that still our best team  ?
Naylor was left out of both League Cup games possibly because it is too much
for him to play 2 games in a few days so maybe he will be left out of one of
the 3 games coming up in the next 7 days and maybe the home game v Swansea is
the best to miss where his lack of pace may get caught out on the break as
opposed to Barnsley or Donny when we are more likely to be defending.
Whatever I assume that Watt, Bruce and McCormack were all brought in on the
promise of first team football, Likewise Clayton who has hardly had a look in
so far must have been given some assurances about time on the pitch or he would
not have signed. Faye is in  similar position - he needs to show to us or
others that he is still fit and good enough to play at a high level and can
only do that in the first team. Add to that the fact that Nunez only has till
January to prove himself and you can see a queue forming outside SG's door.
With Snoddy and Paynter both playing in a friendly on Tuesday and hopefully
being fit if not for the Donny game at least the one after (Sheff U on
25th) the situation is even more difficult for Grayson.
Yes in some ways it is the cliched "nice problem to have" but it can totally
destroy team morale etc. I did a crossword puzzle thing on my hols and it was a
quote from Rodney Marsh saying 'a manager has to keep 11 players happy. The 11
reserves! The first 11 are already happy because they are in the first 11"
I just hope Grayson can find the ideal solution whereby he utilises the big
squad with a bit of rotation but without adversely affecting continuity and
consistency
As I say I would expect the same starting lineup on Saturday with the possible
change of McCormack coming in in place of either Watt or Johnson
