1) Old Gold and blue

2) Failed his medical - with a heart condition, later proved to be incorrect

3) Most Points 69, but then in those days it was 2 points for a win...

4) Most games undefeated - OK I'm not able to dredge up the correct answer
to this one (loads of incorrect ones come to mind though)

5) Nope, Dunno this one either

6) Anfield

7) Albert Johansson - First black player to play in the first division as I
recall

Brilliant!

Thanks so much for posting this, because I would have hated to miss it. I
really like M/mind, but I do get irked at some of the ridiculous subjects
they let people choose sometimes.

Let's all watch it (at least all those who have the BBC and will not be at
Doncaster!) and have a list competition to see who can get the most
questions right. Honest reporting of your scores, of course! My worry is
that I am hopeless on years.

You know that the first question is always the quiz equivalent of a half
volley outside the off stump just to allow the contestant to relax a little.
I predict the first question will be: What were the Leeds colours before
Revie had them changed to all white? I also predict a question on Asa
Hartford, and on one of the two big records we set (most points in a season
in 69, and most games undefeated from the start of the season
in......73-74?). And this one: Who were Leeds playing when Bobby Collins
broke his leg? And........Leeds clinched the 1969 Championship with a 0-0
draw at which stadium? There will also be one about Albert.

OK.............that's enough predictions.

Subject: [LU] Mastermind

On Friday next week, one of the contestants is doing 'Leeds United - the Don
Revie years' as their specialised subject. That's 8.00-8.30, BBC2.

I've always thought that if I could ever be bothered to go on the show
then that would be my specialist subject, but now I can finally test myself
from the comfort of my own armchair.
