About the only thing I agree with Mad Dr Mike about is his hatred of bloödy Liverpool.
How lucky were they today with that gift of a goal v Sunderland? (Makes up for the beach ball incident perhaps.) The MotD peeps were saying how they had never seen anything like that before, but I recall a similar incident (with a different outcome of course, b/c it was Leeds!) It was a UEFA Cup SF 1st Leg at home. The opposition had a freekick in their own half. One player decided to roll the ball quickly to a partner standing next to him, but his mate had quickly run off expecting a long ball. Allan Clarke was on it in a flash and set off for goal, but the ref called him back and let them take the kick again. And who were the jammy sods who got away with it that time?
