Nick opined; > Football's visceral, you're supposed to be moved by it or else what's > the fucking point?
of course there is no fucking point to football it's 22 blokes running around kicking a pigs skin, followed around by a balding pedantic tubster with a whistle. Football has helped teach me some important lessons about life, enjoy the good times they won't last for ever, ignore the bad times and don't agonise over things you can't affect. I still enjoy it when we win, the feelings at the end of that match against Rovers last May were up there with any of the greats. I spent Tuesday evening at a Stewart Lee Gig, getting text updates and it didn't ruin the evening at all. As often happens a bloke of similar age (my daughter asked me if anyone under 45 supports Leeds, as living so far away from Leeds she almost never sees kids in Leeds Shirts) spotted my Admiral retro tracksuit top and during the interval we had a short chat about the half time score and what our expectations were for the season and then agreed anything other than relegation would be a positive step forward, but Grayson's team is very much Work In Progress. Was the match on Tuesday night really the worst display of by Leeds Team ever, I don't know I wasn't there and rarely get to watch games, but if I had a pound for everytime I'd heard that about a game this season, I'd have enough to buy a coffee from Starbucks or buy a house in Morley ttfn Richard _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman-new.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] MARCHING ON TOGETHER
