Presumably, it would also result in a redrawing of the current table since all 
points taken by teams in games against P/mouth would have to be taken away.

Yes, it would mean only two teams going down. They usually correct the number 
of teams in each division by relegating one team fewer from that team's current 
division. And of course it would have a knock-on effect all the way down, with 
one team fewer being relegated from each division below the Championship.

  BBC has Pompey on the brink of collapse. Don't care about Pompey either way
