Definitely the synergy between all three parts is the plus.
I dont think that you have to be Jewish but definitely from Leeds.
Leeds is a very peculiar city in as much as it handled so many waves
of immigrants and yet stayed Yorkshire. Leeds at one point had the 2nd
highest density of Jews not living in Israel, per capita, in the World [New
York was first]
May be not be PC to say so but all the waves tried to retain some form of
identity and yet integrate into the Yorshireness cum Leedsiness.
You had a sort of goal to achieve.
Why not PC? -- because I got the distinct feeling that the last wave of
immigrants were not on the same hymn sheet.
Not that it was their fault. It was the gormless authorities that bent over
backwards to destroy that process. Their deep 'compassion' lacked all
sympathy and true understanding. It was condescending, shallow and self
defeating.
There's nowt wrong in being from Leeds. There nothing wrong in being a yid
from alyidley. I was proud of both if a bit uneasy. But it works its way
through.
I don't know if that will happen or could have happened with the the way the
last wave was managed or, in my opinion, completely mismanaged.
