I know my last post was supposed to be my last on the subject BUT listening to commentary on LUTV it does say "flag has stayed down, oh its gone up now, it is very very late" Make of that what you will It also looks that Howson was indeed just onside though it is easy to see why the lino flagged and cannot really be criticised. I also owe McCormack a bit of an apology, when he was put through,the defender was just between him and the goal and so he was correct to look for support, although Max and, dare I say it, Beckford, in the same position, would have tried to push it past the defender and go it alone. Even from the camera behind the goal it is unclear as to who got th first and you can see McCormack telling another player he scored it - commentator gives it to Becchio.
