There was no point in keeping Faye - he looked off the pace when he played and
was not getting enough games to ever get his fitness levels up. Rare for a
player to leave by 'mutual consent' but he did appear to be wasting his time
here. Shame because he could have filled the defensive midfield role for us.
Nunez has obviously showed in training etc that he has something different to
offer and has a touch of skill - he is an attacking midfielder rather than an
out and out striker I think. His problem has been that he is always away on
international duty - something that will become our promblem if he ever breaks
into the first team. You can hardly build a team / formation aorund someome who
is going to miss games jetting around the world.
Know nothing about the young lad from Everton but he has been on trial here for
a while, so clearly he has impressed Grayson. He is only 18 so hopefully he can
progress - not sure where that leaves Adam 'one for the future' Clayton mind
you.
Only other rumour I have heard of any substance is the possibilty of  ex scum
Higginbottom from Stoke,
Dave

Apologies for interrupting the twitter debate but anyone got any thoughts on
the latest team news?1. Zac Thompson signed for 6 months, anyone know anything
about him? Nothing on wikipedia2. Nunez gets a new contract. How many strikers
do we need? Becchio, Paynter, McCormack, Gradel, Watt, Grella, Nunez, Somma. I
know Gradel and Watt can play on the wing but surely one of this lot will go in
the window?3. Amdy Faye going - Not to be missed I think
Any rumours beyond Smith and Woodgate on who might be coming to Leeds?

Best,
Jeremy
