Tim,

You're quoting career stats at the highest level.

Becchio for Leeds:  52 in 138 - so it's nearer 1 in 3 than 1 in 2 and also this
has been at lower levels.

and if we're taking his career as a whole , before Leeds (according to Wiki)
was
38 goals in 129 , that's playing for lower league foreign clubs. Not exactly
impressive is it ?

What I'm saying is his goal record is ok but his general play is poor so my
conclusion is we can have a striker whose goal ratio is much better and also
offers a lot more to our game. I mean, take Somma, he has nearly scored as many
this season and he's hardly been on the pitch.

You can defend Beccio all you want but do you enjoy watching him play ? I find
it painful to watch him. He needs replacing.

for Gradel and 15 in 32 for Becchio. Makes the strikers scoring rate look
a bit ordinary really"

No Rich, it doesn't. Get your facts right please!

Asides from your deep hatred of the man and ignoring his
qualities/weaknesses for now, that is EXACTLY the scoring record you
expect for a striker at whatever level they are playing at. For example:

Alan Sherer - Played 559 Scored 283
Ian Rush    - Played 601 Scored 254
Allan Clarke - Played 273 for Leeds - Scored 110
Steve Bull - Played 484 Scored 254
Lee Chapman (At Leeds) - Played 137 Scored 62
I could go on Richy, but I've a life to lead!! ;-)

A goal every other game is a good record at any level. I've played up
front and I can guarantee you every single striker worth his salt WANTS to
score every game.
They don't.
FACT.
