Yes I'm with you on that one - it is a dilemma for Grayson but I think with
Bannan and Kilkenny we have the means to outpass and outplay teams like Sheff
Utd. I think the temptation in this league is to think that the only way to get
out is to put some cloggers in who can fight their way out of the division. I
think this is not true. There's only one reason why QPR are top of the league
because they play football and have individuals who find time on the ball and
are comfortable passing it around and moving for each other. Bradley Johnson
will never fit into that type of side , neither will Becchio which is why I
think we need to start looking beyond them. Somma is a fine example of a player
who just seems to have too much ability for Grayson - he doesn't fit into
Grayson's plan at all except to stick him on with 10 minutes to go and expect
him to get a hat-trick which is totally unreasonable. It's so obvious to see
that the only real tactical change he's got up his sleeve is to take Becchio
off
and put Paynter on - why would you do that ? Paynter with 1 goal to his name in
front of Somma with double figures and international appearances and goals to
his. It's because Somma doesn't use his elbows in tackles, he doesn't fall over
and get free-kicks, he doesn't charge down the ball and use of valuable energy.
What he does is make intelligent runs behind their defence which can be
exploited by the likes of Bannan and Kilkenny.

I think Grayson now needs a plan B which will eventually become is Plan A, if
not this season certainly next if we're looking to progress. 4-5-1 has served
us
ok b ut it's limited especially with Johnson and Becchio at the helm.

I'm a fan of Grayson, we've done really well this year with some players that
are playing beyond their level but he's in danger of  becoming one dimensional.

Yes my mate said BB did ok. How about dropping Johnson and playing BB and NK ??
Just a thought , at least we would be able to pass to each other

Not too sure - I think we'd be a bit lightweight in midfield then.  I'm not
Johnson's greatest fan but he does get stuck in.  Maybe we should have gone for
a more defensive hard-man midfielder instead of a "play-maker".  Although
thinking about it, Bannan did get some good challenges in.  I don't know - I'm
more indesicive than Grayson!
