Prompted by the news that Cohen's red will stand, I re-watched the
highlights on the BBC site.

Hadn't occurred to me at the time, but their goal was another scored by a
player finding too much space in the corner of our box. It's been a factor
in a lot of the goals we've conceded this season - so I'm curious.

I'm no tactical expert, but shouldn't we be denying space inside the box? Is
it a problem with full-backs staying too wide or centre-backs' poor
positioning? Or is it just one of those things - it's hard to deal with
players drifting into those areas - and we've been unlucky? At ER v Norwich,
I noticed the same problem, along with the fact we don't seem to man-mark
opposition playmakers. Perhaps the two issues are connected.

Anyone with a bit of tactical/positional/psychological insight welcome to
respond...

Best,

Richard
