Yes, he should be called Norman, not Ken.

Btw, our kid got me the stadium tour tickets, from the ticket office. But I'm
pretty sure you could order on line. They don't do them on matchdays btw.

Correct me if I am wrong but apart from the fourth division we have lost in
every stage in every competition know to man or beast.
Our sojourn in the nether areas of the third division helped us add a new
dimension to this 'proud record'. I'd love to see some prawn sarnwitch eater
get his gob round that and keep swallowing for a few decades or so whilst
coming back for more.
You have to be Leeds and pure Leeds to do that.
Mind you having that malignant octogenarian cockney dwarf live out his final
years of utter uselessness, rip offs and sadistic swindles at our expense is a
bit much even by our high standards of sufferings.

I think the discussion on the list recently as to whether we should be chuffed
we're not going to be relegated, or pissed off that we're (possibly) just going
to miss out on a play-off place, has been interesting.

I'm undecided myself as to whether I'm pleased or annoyed.

Overall we are all undoubtedly pleased that we're nowhere near the relegation
struggle.

And we might all feel more comfortable if we were 14th or 15th and not in the
running for either outcome, with a nice gentle end to the season and a platform
for next.

But the reason I think so many of us, even those who, like me, are usually
glass half full types, are more dissatisfied than sanguine, is we have seen us
be the nearly men so many times it gets to be pretty irksome.

I remember reading a stat somewhere that if we'd won everything we came first
or second in under Revie, we'd have had 19 trophies. Not sure if that's
accurate, but you get the point.

We've nearly won the league, nearly won the European Cup, nearly got in to the
Champions League final, nearly got promoted from the Championship at the first
attempt, nearly run away with the League One title. And it seems this season
might be another nearly season.

I'm not saying this is exclusive to us, I'm sure lots of fans from other clubs
feel the same, but it does seem that as fans we are often put through the
wringer, more often than not coming out the other end still dripping wet and
rumpled and not neat and clean and dry.

It makes you wonder really why do it?
