So, everyone suitably glum? I know it's not over quite yet, but as good as.
How we've stayed in the top six for so long with a string of poor results is
a mystery, until today, where pay back time seemed to hit with a vengeance
when most other teams around us did ok. I suppose we should be happy that
we've survived this season which we have more than done, but when we've had
that little glimmer of something even better than survival and a top half
league position, it feels a bit of an anti climax. But, better now than
losing in the play-offs which almost certainly we would have (or even,
will?)
My main concern is that we have given about everything we have this season
with the players we have so next season what "more" can we do apart from
bring some new blood (Bates ££...hmmm?) in and /or hope that the standard
will have dropped to help us do better which I can't see. At least there is
still the interesting chance that QPR may not win the league after all and
bow down to Norwich as champions, although we may have a potential say in
that on the last day.
