Now that Johnson and Kilkenny are on their bikes I wonder. Is that for the good? Our midfield failed in two of the three major roles. It succeeded in augmenting the attack. It failed in coordinating and masterminding and it failed in augmenting the defence. Much of this was due to the fact that the two departeds and Howson did not gel. How much was their fault is not clear. Should the new mid field be built round Howson? Is he influential enough? We have to see how good Grayson is about both making and executing this central issue. Then who he brings in. I still have doubts on both parts. Overall he does see issues. He seems to know what he wants. He has the courage of his convictions. But is what he want what we need or the best way to go? Having got to that point is he good at getting the correct person and getting the most out of him. Here I have serious doubts. To put it fairer. I will watch this aspect of Grayson. Ferguson knows what he wants from his team and who is to do that. I know it's ManU. But if you can't respect your enemy ( I see no reason why not ) then at least learn from them.
