>From the officious site:- United pre-season plans take shape... Leeds United can confirm that the club will head north of the border during pre-season. Simon Grayson's squad will have a week-long training camp in Scotland, and play two matches against local opposition. The first game will be against third-placed Scottish First Division outfit Falkirk on Wednesday July 13 (7.30pm), with the second against SPL side Motherwell on Saturday July 16 (3pm). The two matches will precede games in England against Rochdale on Tuesday July 19 (7.30pm), Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday July 23 (1pm), and Newcastle United on Sunday July 31 (2pm). This will be United's first trip to Scotland since Kevin Blackwell's side played out a goalless draw with Celtic in the summer of 2005. The previous year, United beat Hibs 3-1 at Easter Road to secure the Whyte and Mackay Cup. It's the first time the club has staged a mini-tour in Scotland since the summer of 1984 when Eddie Gray took his squad north of the border for matches against Raith Rovers and St Johnstone. Our last meeting with Motherwell was in the summer of 1982 while we played Falkirk the following summer as part of our pre-season preparations. The club is also likely to stage a Leeds On The Road event in the Glasgow area on the Thursday ahead of the Motherwell game. Ticket details for these games will be available in due course.
