I'm just talking about Alan Smith, our hero, our lad. I was atAnfield when he scored his first goal. DOL came onto the Anfield pitch on his knees in his suit and we we mental in the stands-a real proud moment. He was one of us, talked about our rivals in a derisory way which we loved -he fitted the local boy / local hero tag perfectly an d let's face facts that don't happen much these days. But we were fooled, he was just the same as all the rest but he definitely tried to make out he wasn't which is why we were all let down badly when we realised.
I've had few beers and red wines but I really feel strongly how he let us down. At least we now no know that he's just a pro-footballer nothing more, nothing less .... Forget all the Leeds lad crap, and if he comes back he shall be treated as such.
