Consider too the potential impact on English football if the ongoing  
Murdoch empire meltdown starts to impact on Sky. Could mean less TV money for  
the clubs - and you can be sure it'll be the lower leagues that will be hit  
hardest. Those that have overspent could be in deep trouble - it could be ITV 
 Sport all over again - but on a grander scale.
 
Ken is managing risk very well at the moment, and that could be the wisest  
mid-term approach. The cost could be a sacrifice in short-term ambition, 
though  Grayson knows how to wheel and deal in the loan market. And 
Swansea/Norwich  prove that you don't need to spend big to get out of this 
division.
