Nonsense! Fulham have just started their UEFA campaign. Stockdale is the current back up keeper. Jol is new, he has been assessing his options, why loan out stockdale to us now in case schwartzer breakers his arm or something.
There are not many good season long loans agreed yet because the prem teams are still assessing their squads. If they want a 24 hour recall then we can't operate knowing that we travel to say Southampton on a Friday for a Saturday game and we lose him on the way down then we have no back up. I've got some sympathy with the season long loan thing because we would be getting several fringe premiership players that we couldn't afford to buy and in theory they are better standard than the championship free transfers.
