I've only been to the Motherwell game, on that showing Howson looked off the mark, don't think any of his passes came off and he was slow (and he's one of my faves) Paynter was woeful, slow and no awareness. Brown seemed ok to me, looked as tho he wanted the ball at every opportunity. Clayton, not much happened for him, time will tell. Nunez is nippy but it was only Motherwell - I still think he's a Bit lightweight. Kisnorbo got stuck in and once match fit, let's hope he stays fit. Goalie looked ok too. I'd like to see Aidie Whyte get a chance too, don't know what he did too wrong last year. Hope it clicks for McCormack too, he's a 100%er. Still feel we need another striker and hope to Hell we hang on to Gradel, for me our best player last season. Anyone doing a Sheff report? Did many go? Only 2 weeks to go! And a new signing to be revealed on Monday - any ideas?

How good are the players that are coming in? What are Nunez, , Whyte, Kisnoboro & Clayton like this year. Will they make the grade? Is it my imagination but has Howson disappeared? Is this season really an accident waiting to happen? I'll stick my neck out .....I think that WHU will do beggar all. Not much more from B'Ham & B'Pool. I also feel that Leicester & Nottingham will disappoint. Do fancy MiddlesBorough, Burnley & Reading. Maybe Cardiff too. In short this is not a league that you buy yourself out of. Or am I whistling in the dark?
