Expat Shield is my way of doing it (hence quasi-legal?), but as a mac user with windows installed via bootcamp there are drawbacks to this (there is no mac version of Expat Shield). It works well, but cannot project it to the tv on windows on a mac (just doesn't work).
Was just hoping for an easier way...no big deal. ________________________________ From: Guy Thornton <[email protected]> To: Nicholas Armit <[email protected]>; [email protected] Sent: Thursday, July 28, 2011 6:44 PM Subject: Re: [LU] Iplayer for our overseas brethren On 28 Jul 2011 at 7:44, Nicholas Armit wrote: > So no USA and no download capability. I don't know what your quasi-legal method is but there are ways around the problem for us outside the mother country[sic] First option: iPlayer can be installed in your computer (even now on iPad). Problem: you can't do it outside the UK Solution: Download it when in the UK or get someone to do it for you. I downloaded and saved it on a USB stick which I later installed when home. No reason why someone can't download and mail the file. Programmes: they can be downloaded as well. Again get someone to do so and send the file. Second option: Fix up a proxy. Having problems doing this? Check out Expat shield: http://watch-bbc-iplayer.com/ (They're also on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/iplayerbbc Easy peasy. Noe enjoy your favourite programmes ! guy _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman-new.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] MARCHING ON TOGETHER (There's it)
