Why??

 

It's not too bad.  It's an old boy returning.  I remember thinking he was
quite good in a preseason friendly at Oldham a few years ago. His strike
rate is about 1 in 5 and 1 in2 in the FA cup.  Don't forget some of those
years were in the premier league  and some appearances as a sub.

 

He has consistently played higher up the leagues than we have since shortly
after he left and he is a Irish international

 

Were you hoping we had stepped in and got Fabregas at the last minute?
