I am not here to praise the Stoat but bury him.................... But: There is a very definite game plan which is consistent and emotion free:- The wage system will not be broken. Every player has a price which is a meld of his 'value to the team', his 'marketable price and the length of contract remaining. Any player is bought with the same formula. The ground facilities are considered real and substantial assets and less nebulous in their worth than the acquisition of players. There is a definite professional program that has to 'exist' within the financial one. Players are allowed to develop but if they show professional or psychological [team] flaws they [the players] are immediately deemed to be irredeemable and placed beyond the pale permanently.
Lets look at the results: We are debt free The ground is being improved The team is doing better every year-- under Grayson. On the other hand: The Stoat's antics are appalling and a disgrace. His motives are still egocentric and devoid of any virtue or altruism. We know not who owned the club and what that means. Surely the greatest feature that diminishes the clubs value. We do not own ER or TA. Grayson still has to show that he can put a defense together. Looking at yesterday. We were not the only ones playing 'sotto voce'. Apart from Arsenal and Leicester they all were. There are a lot of released players who are interesting. Michael Woods for one! The PL loanees will soon be available and that seems a good route to go. Try and buy in a buyers market. So all in all I approve of the tactics employed by the Stoat. But I violently oppose him. I believe the guy to be a nefarious narcissist whose behaviour is the greatest detriment to this club and by far outweighs all the managerial skills that he brings. His tactics are clear. His agenda, aims, honesty and desires are less so and more a part of the personality, behaviour traits and personna that are the Stoat's.All things that I simply detest. Not anyone can manage like the Stoat. No one could behave like him. Have a great day.
