Thanks again Rich and Dave for your brilliant insights.

yeah, my score was based on the commentary, as eddie continually raved about
their right winger who was causing all the problems, and "aidy was severely
tested today". As you say, Eddie did sing the praises of Aidy, especially
post match and particularly because, as you also said, he is the one ,
critical, defender with pace. He also like his attitude though he moaned
about the times he bombed forward without thinking what he was going to do
or what the beneft would be.
Eddie's main criticism was that we haven't got a clue how to deal with a
lead and to boss the game. In particular he felt the midfield (and the
captain) should put their foot on the ball, control things in a calm,
measured and commanding fashion and dictate the game. He felt rather we
panicked and didn't know what to do, thus handing the initiative back to the
opposition. This criticism stung Simon, who stuttered somewhat before
coming back lamely with you've got to say they're a great bunch of lads with
a superb never say die spirit.
One more Eddism, don't let attackers get behind you and you wont have to
concede all these penalties (etc).

cheers
nif
