However it happened must be devastating for his family - to have the hope/joy ripped out from underneath so suddenly is tragic, I only hope his last few weeks were some of the happiest of his life as he believed in having that future.
My thoughts were that the cancer had left him with very little lung capacity, and any infection, even from a simple cold, would be extremely dangerous. Especially if his immune system was still building up after his treatment.
