seanThat is why I did question whether it was poor management. As for them being 'owed a spot on the bench' I am guessing that Forsell and Mika only agreed to come to us on the basis that they would be part of the first team squad at a minimum and as for Becchio, despite Richs view of him, he has earned his place with his goals and general performances over the last 3 years. With these players taking up 3 positions it only leaves enough for a keeper and one defender. It is our own fault that we have 3 'target men' of similar style but it would not have mattered with the 7man bench -it would still have let us have Sam and Nunez as a bit of flair / bit different or one of them an an extra midfielder Brown or Thompson for example. It just seems to be a change in the rules that has not helped any team with a large squad of proper first teamers - I assume the likes of Paynter (looking for a loan) Somma (injured) and O'Brien Bruce and Bromby are less than happy now that they are not even making the bench Doing a crossword puzzle book the other week one of the solutions was a quote from Rodney Marsh - " a manager has to keep eleven players happy - the eleven players who are NOT in the team"Whilst no doubt all players want to start , they must all be happier with a place on the bench and not in the stands (Tevez excepted !) Dave--
Good point, but there's really no need for us to have both Forsell and Becchio on the bench, with Keogh on the field. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
