Getting in very late last night after band practice, I was skulking around in the kitchen, eating and drinking, and turned on Talksport. A LUFC fan who had been to the game was talking about how the police totally cocked up the post-match crowd control. Instead of receiving tannoy instructions to stay seated, the 5000 fans were ushered out of the stands and down a flight of steps, whereupon the police tried to stop them. Of course, those at the back had no idea and kept trying to move forward, resulting in chaos at the front, people falling over, people climbing fences to avoid the crush, etc.
