Calm down - Taylor has a wealth of top class experience and will be ok for what he is - an emergency stop gap . Lonergan is still out inured and McCarthy could be recall at a minutes notice and Cairns is too young / inexperienced. I assume any contract for Taylor would be short. I would rather have him than sign someone long term who we are then stuck with when we do not need him (same as Rachubka is now)
SG team selection on Sat in defence will be interesting. For once he is spoilt for choice insomuch as Kis and O'Brien kept a clean sheet last time with O'B especially getting rave reviews and his poor form earlier being blamed on outside problems that are now sorted. Lees has been a revelation at CB and O'Dea was also looking mainly solid and starting to form a decent partnership with Lees (albeit one scuppered by Rachubka) I just hope SG does not make Lees play right back. Connolly has done a decent job , and Lees was making too many errors when playing there, errors which will affect his confidence if allowed to continue.
