Or as Grayson saw it, fit enough to be on the bench, not fit enough to start.

If you don't think there's a difference between the fitness levels of a player
picked to play 90 mins and one allocated 20, then there might be some who would
lose faith in your managerial prowess.

Typed without a hint of irony, too !

Cheers,

Rich Walker gave his reason why Pugh didn't play;?

>Pugh was on the bench against Barnsley and came on. Sam was chosen in
>preference.

Annoyingly Grayson gave his;

"Pugh was not part of the sixteen players named by Leeds boss Simon Grayson
for the game at Burnley and he is doubtful for the home game with Barnsley
next Saturday. Grayson explained in an interview on Yorkshire Radio after
the game, when he said, "He tweaked his hamstring in the Leicester game. He
is responding to treatment but he is touch and go for next week."

Rich then concluded;

>In my book that says that he was fit so effectively dropped in preference to
>Sam ?

Hmm, I know you are a new dad mate, but I'm not sure "the Hungry
Caterpillar" is an appropriate reference book for professional football
management ;)
