Just to explain my mail - I thought you would understand written English but maybe not: I said I don't need stats to back up my argument about Pugh but then in asnwer your question as to whether stats play a part in my views I said yes they do. Makes sense to me. I'll ask my 1 year old daughter tonight see if she understands it. First off Rich Walker said re the need for stats; > Mark , I don't need stats to back my argument up. Then in response to me saying that it didn't seems Stats played any part in his views he said > actually they do !!!!! HUH?, make your mind up, or at least check the "use by date" on your medication ;) Anyway, normally I'd be far to busy to spend time on this, but following the example of our so called public "servants", I've taken a random day of work because my Pension isn't going to be quite a big as I once thought it might be (boohoo!) I've checked the stats, but of course you are covered since you sit on both sides of the fence. Total Games Played this Season 22 W11 D4 L7 F38 A34 37pts = 1.68pts per game 1.54 goals conceded per game Games where Pugh & White Played 10 W5 D3 L2 F17 A13 18pts = 1.8pts per game 1.38 goals conceded per game Games where White Played 12 W6 D1 L5 F21 A21 19pts = 1.58pts per game 1.75 goals conceded per game Games where White Played Pugh didn't 8 W4 D1 L3 F14 A13 13pts = 1.63pts per game 1.63 goals conceded per game Games where neither played 4 W2 D0 L2 F7 A8 6Pts = 1.5pts per game 2 goals conceded per game I haven't factored in games where White is sent off or Pugh subbed in or out, or where the formation is amended before or during the game which might make a difference I suppose, but possibly cancel each other out. I have also given us 3 pts for a victory in league cup matches. There is a 101% margin of error since I haven't done maths since 1978 ;) So if any conclusion could be drawn it is we gain more points and concede less goals if they both play. Of course Football is played on grass not a calculator, so for the moment I'll back Grayson on this one who sees the players for hours a week not 90 mins a fortnight. As for Aidy White being the new something or other, as a Leeds fan, I'd prefer a new Terry Cooper over a new Giggs any day.. and I'VE thought that for years and years. ttfn Richard _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected] PETE CASS (1962 - 2011) Rest In Peace Mate
