He feels insulted so he complains. The irony of the Suarez case is that his defence is centred on what is "normal" in Uruguay. In the UK context, surely, that is an admission of guilt ? The behaviour of Dalgleish and the players is embarrassing and seems to be making the issue worse. Possibly more serious in the long term, is the apology by Hansen and the BBC. It just highlights the problems of distinguishing the difference between a calculated insult and a fear of using the wrong word when making a point that requires a recognition of a skin colour. There will be the well aired reactions and views of the two extremes but the middle majority will consider it stupid and not worthy of consideration. There, imho, is the danger. All forms of deliberate racism will not be taken seriously because of the trivial cases reported. I wish all listers a Peaceful Christmas and a Healthy 2012.
