I see QPR have sacked Colin - IF (and hopefully it is a big IF) SG does get the boot, we could do a lot worse than Warnock - yes I dislike him with a passion, most people do, BUT he is probably second to none at getting teams promoted Re, Leeds fan v football fan I am deffo with Rich W - I pretty much watch no football on TV that is not LUFC or England - I do not watch MOTD ,I record the football league show and fast forward to our bitsI did not even watch any of todays Manchester derby -I have been to a few games as a neutral over the years but not for a long time I also agree with Rich's comments about 'neutrals' getting tickets for the big games over 'proper' fans - Yes it is not an issue at ER at the moment given how many spare seats there are, but I am a big believer in loyalty schemes at football - I hate the fact that someone who has never seen my team play can get a ticket for a Wembley final or somesuch game at the expense of a fan who goes every week. I think that was the point that Rich was making - I know that tickets for the derby game today were at a premium and , to me, it would be wrong for some 'outsider' to get a ticket ahead of a regular match going fan, just because the outsider happened to be in Manchester today and fancied going to a game. Of course for 99% of games that is not an issue, so I have no real actual problem with people going to watch games that they want to, irrespective of their commitment or loyalty to one of the teams.Dave _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email [email protected]
